Well, I was so thrilled about making “Platinum” status that I wanted to add a quick blog about it.
TheReviewJunkie.Com (John specifically) was just awarded the “Platinum Expert Author” status from EzineArticles.Com this morning! We are thrilled and wanted to share that with you all. So what does that even mean for TRJ.Com? Well let me tell you:
For starters, we were on a “basic” membership with Ezine. That meant that we had a limit of 10 article submissions at a time while writing for EzineArticles. That wasn’t any fun because we write a lot more articles than that in a day! However, Ezine is the place to be so we eagerly awaited their review process. I am happy to announce that our 10 articles that were submitted for review were accepted and we were even granted “Platinum” status!
Awesome John, but what the heck is Platinum status? Well, all it means is that we now have unlimited article submission restrictions when writing for EzineArticles. So, we can submit articles as often as we like and they get moved up toward the front of the review process line for acceptance. I for one thought that was awesome! Not everyone was as happy as I was though… or as impressed for that matter. Haha! Oh well.
Anyhow folks, stay on the lookout for new articles, reviews, tips and trick from yours truly right here at TRJ!
- John

I’ve been evaluating some article submission sites lately, ezineArticles included.
When I couldn’t use my name as the author name (because they apparently only allow a single instance of any one name), I thought “hm, that’s annoying.” And I put in the name of the guy who’s desk is next to mine, thereby sticking it to the man.
When I gave their article submission tool a whirl, I thought “wow, these people don’t know when to stop…a little simplicity (and elegance) can go a long ways.”
When I submitted an article to see their process, I started thinking “man, they sure take a while to review articles, compared to the other sites I’ve tried.”
When the article was rejected, I re-read their submission guides to see what I had missed. Too many keywords. Check.
When the article was rejected again, this time for different reasons, I thought “well, that’s annoying.” So I re-read the guidelines again to see what I had missed. Apparently someone thought that a nested list meant ‘improper formatting of a list.’ Duly noted.
When the article was rejected a third time for yet-again different reasons, I thought “this can’t really be worth the effort, can it? I’ve already seen solid results with another of the sites I’ve tried.”
I have a hard time believing that ezinearticles is worth going through these hoops.
