We are going to look at what I believe to be 6 fundamental steps to building an article marketing action plan. Today we will look at the first 3 steps that we need to take to learn how to use article marketing tactics to our advantage. The aim here is to piece together an article marketing action plan from start to finish in the hopes of making sales and gaining repeat business. Here is part 1:
Article marketing continues to be the proven way to drive free traffic to your website and boost page ranking. However, just driving the traffic there isn’t all we are trying to do. We want to make a sale and keep the customers that we have gained over time. So, let’s look at 6 steps to building a successful article marketing tactics plan for our business. I like to call this an “article marketing action plan”!
Step 1
Create Interest
If we are going to sell anything at all online, we must create interest. To create interest, we must know our product and understand how to convey that in a way that the consumer finds interesting. A good example would be a sports drink. People that are active have a natural interest in things pertaining to their sporting activity. If we use some basic article marketing tactics to generate interest, we would assume that they have this “sporting” interest and cater our sales article to peek the interest of the product to the consumer. This in turn creates an elevated interest in the product, thus driving interest and possibly a sale.
Step 2
Turn Interest Into Benefit
Why do people buy? They buy things that interest them and have a benefit. For example, none of us will just buy a car. We will buy because the gas milage is great, the color is what we like, because the A/C unit is better in this current model and because it has tinted windows. These are benefits. If we apply some basic article marketing tactics here, we can turn the consumers interest into benefit by simply advertising these benefits instead of trying to “sell” the car. We have thus turn interest into benefit and are one step closer to generating a sale.
Step 3
Turn Benefit Into Belief
We have used article marketing tactics now to get to the stage of benefit and must further that by turning this into belief. A consumer will not buy something they don’t believe will work. In order to go from benefit to belief we must prove some proof. In dealing with a car, we give the consumer a test drive. They see out the beautiful tinted windows, feel the A/C, they notice how little gas is used and they now believe in the benefits we described. To turn this into profitable article marketing tactics, we offer our consumers a free eBook, newsletter, or another download to “prove” how beneficial our products and services are. Doing so places us one step closer to a sale and also builds value and credibility to us as a business.
